Simple Standard Penetration Test (commonly known as Portable Penetration Test)

Casual standard penetration tests on the mountain.

【Background and Necessity】 ● In mountainous areas, transporting drilling equipment and circulation water for foundation surveys of transmission towers, wind measurement towers, and landslide-prone slopes incurs significant costs and time (helicopter, monorail). 【Product Overview】 (Patent No. 6619235: November 2019) ● Survey - Standard penetration test (JIS A-1219) fully compliant - Standard penetration tests conducted every 50 cm - Continuous core sampling (using a sampler for standard penetration tests) - No drilling water required - Friction around the sampler eliminated by the reaming barrel ● Equipment Transport - Total weight of the machine is 300 kg (including rods (10 m), excluding casing, etc.) - Can be transported by a one-box car - Transported on mountain roads using a crawler (150 kg load capacity, maximum incline: 30 degrees) ● No need for temporary workspaces *Please also see the leaflet.

Ground investigation service "Standard Penetration Test"

It is the most commonly conducted ground survey during the design and construction phases of construction work.

The ground investigation method commonly referred to simply as boring investigation is formally known as the boring and standard penetration test. This investigation utilizes holes drilled by boring (i.e., hollowing out) to conduct standard penetration tests that measure the hardness of the ground at intervals of one meter. Typically, this is carried out simultaneously with soil sampling. The data obtained from the standard penetration test is referred to as the N value, which can serve as a guideline for estimating ground stability. 【Features】 ○ The most commonly conducted ground investigation during design and construction in construction projects. ○ Clarifies the composition of strata by excavating the investigation site and observing the soil. ○ Measures the N value to understand the relative hardness and compactness of the soil in situ. ○ Can penetrate any deep or hard layer. The Importance of Ground Stability That Is Surprisingly Little Known

Building a home starts with understanding the ground: The importance of the ground, which is surprisingly not well known.

The realization of a dream and one of the greatest projects in life: a home. As the construction plan progresses, the image of the home that the customer envisions becomes clearer. Budget and location decisions follow, and then considerations about the floor plan, exterior wall colors, and so on... However, at this stage, unless one has knowledge about construction, discussions about the ground conditions rarely come up. While awareness of ground conditions in the housing industry has deepened today, in reality, most customers have a limited understanding of ground conditions. As a result, during the planning phase, they often find themselves shocked by unexpected expenses depending on the results of the ground survey. To avoid such situations, we recommend conducting a ground survey early on. ◎ Ground Survey... → If deemed weak, reinforcement is necessary. → Building on solid ground is the best approach. ↓↓ For more details, please contact us ↓↓

Ground investigation

There are 8 types of survey methods! This is an introduction to ground surveys where you can choose the most suitable survey method for your purpose.

At Something, a sophisticated ground investigation flow has been established, and the same "ground investigation" is conducted at locations nationwide. Starting with the "new boring investigation (Ground King Hori Susumu)," suitable investigation methods such as the "Swedish sounding test (SWS test)," "plate load test," and "soil contamination survey" can be selected according to the purpose. The investigation report is designed to clearly explain the ground investigation results and the necessity of ground improvement to clients and property owners in an easily understandable format. 【Features】 ■ Suitable investigation methods can be selected according to purpose ■ Available at 21 locations nationwide ■ Established investigation flow ■ Easy-to-understand investigation report ■ Eight types of investigation methods *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
